My Mom

My Mom

I can hardly believe that Mom has been gone for 3 years already and I miss her terribly.

I miss our Saturday morning calls.

I miss the great times our family shared when Mom came for her regular summer visits. She'd always have a new recipe to try or a new card game to teach.

I miss the jokes and the contagious laugh.

I miss the trips to Arthur and being spoiled with all of my favorite meals that Mom would start to prepare as soon as you told her you were coming.

I miss Mom standing at the front door to greet you as soon as our car would pull up in the driveway.

Miss you Mom.

The 2009 Summer Soccer Season is Finished

A special thank you to the wonderful coaching staff of the
girls U-14 team for Les Etoiles de l'est!
Where did the summer season go? Oh right, we didn't have a summer this year but we did have a super season.
This year our soccer team moved up to AA. The girls really did hold their own.
We've organized a wonderful team dinner on Sunday to thank our amazing coaching staff for their dedication and hard work all season.
Our team captains will present gift certificates in these beautiful cards made with Stampin'Up!'s Just Soccer stamp set.
My inspiration was this medal that the girls received at a weekend tournament this summer.
Our team colors are blue and red so these colors were perfect!
We are very proud of our daughter and her contribution this year!
Material used:
Stamps: Just Soccer, merci
Ink: Basic black craft ink, Basic Gray
CS: Brilliant Blue, Basic Gray, Whisper White, Real Red
Accessories: Silver brads, star punch, clear embossing powder, curly label punch, frame oval scallop Bigz die, Big Shot die cut machine, Stampin'Up! perfect details texturz embossing plate, silver elastic cord and sponge daubers.
Sure hope they like them!

Mojo Monday Week 105

End your week with a Mojo Monday challenge!
Yipes, I almost missed this week's challenge! This card has been made since Tuesday but I forgot to post it.
My Stampin'Up! order came in on Monday and I just had to made a card with their beautiful Holiday Lounge designer paper. I love non traditional Christmas colors.
I also used the new Stampin'Up! shimmer paint. The paint makes your paper look shimmery. This acid-free paint is perfect for porous surfaces such as paper, fabric and wood. It's really easy to apply. I just applied it to my stamp using my sponge dauber and created this frosty stamped image! You don't even have to heat set it.
Material used:
Stamps: Delightful Decorations
Ink: Frost white shimmer paint
CS: Holiday lounge designer paper, basic gray, taken with teal, Sahara sand
Accessories: Ornament punch, pearl from Stampin'Up! pretties kit, taken with teal 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, silver elastic cord, Whisper white organza ribbon
** All material used to make this card can be found in Stampin'Up!'s new Holiday Mini Catalogue or in the current Idea Book & Catalogue.
Have a fantastic weekend!
