Faux Seersucker

I can't believe it's a background stamp!
Here's a card that was made in our June workshop. The technique is called faux seersucker. I still haven't found the right French translation for seersucker so we just stuck with seersucker. lol

We used Stampin'Up! markers to add multiple color to our background stamp then ran the Whisper White card stock through the paper crimper, turned the card stock in the other direction and ran it through again. The butterflies were added to give our card dimention.

Material used:

Stamps: Pretty Petals background stamp
Ink: Old Olive, Lavender Lace, Real Red and Pumpkin Pie markers
CS: Old Olive, Lavender Lace, Whisper White
Accessories: Paper Cripmer, Old Olive grosgrain ribbon

Thanks for visiting KC Stamps!

Gift Box 3X3 card set

Another beautiful workshop project is this
amazing 3 X 3 card set!
This versatile gift card box was inspired by my very talented niece Melissa on her last visit to Montreal. Mel made two #2 box bigz xl dies using the Big Shot and simply glued them together back to back. She then used the Wide Oval punch to make the handle. Isn't it the cutest little basket! I then used Stampin'Up!'s Tea Party designer paper to decorate around the box and the 3X3 gift cards. The Fresh Favorites 1 accent buttons, Simple Flower embosslits die and Little Leaves from Stampin'Up!'s new catalogue added just the right finishing touch!
Materials used:
Stamp: en oval
Ink: Almost Amethyst, Apricot Appeal marker, Almost Amethyst marker
CS: Sage Shadow textured paper, Tea Party designer paper, Apricot Appeal, Sage Shadow, Whisper White
Accessories: Scallop oval punch, Fresh Favorites 1 coloured buttons, Large oval punch, Simple Flower embosslits die, Little Leaves sizzlits die
